Linux and Yocto training on Toradex Colibri iMX6

Koan offers an enterprising 3-day course which provides you with everything you need to get started with embedded Linux embedded and Yocto Project.
You will be guided step-by-step by experienced trainer Marco Cavallini. The course is for a maximum of 10 attendees and will be held in English in our office.

The course is targeted at everybody who is interested to get started with Yocto on embedded devices; for example, if you are a Linux PC user or an application programmer who likes to target ARM® embedded devices, or are familiar with other build systems. It’s also ideal to attend if you are at the beginning of a project, as you will be guided through the complete setup. Basic Linux and C/C++ programming skills are recommended.

 

 

Linux and Yocto training on Toradex Colibri 1MX7

We will use the latest NXP®/Freescale i.MX 6DL ARM SoC on the Toradex Colibri iMX6 System on Module and the Toradex Aster carrier board.

At the end of the training, you will be able to keep the embedded System on Module and go home with a Virtual Machine with the complete build system, so you have a jump start into your next project.

NOTE : You will need to bring your own Laptop.

equipment

Every participant will use his/her own laptop with the following requirements.

  • VmWare Player (preinstalled by every participant)

  • 2 USB ports free (board power, USB-RS232 adapter)

  • 1 ethernet RJ45 (cable provided)

  • at least 2 GB RAM

  • at least 25 GB of free space on the HD

You will be provided with a VmWare Virtual Machine image with Lubuntu 14.04 pre-installed and pre-configured.

Each participant is personally responsible for the data contained on his or her PC and will have to make a backup of them before attending the course.

The following material is provided and included in the course price

  • Toradex Colibri iMX6 Dual core with Aster carrier board (included)

  • 2GB MicroSD card (included)

  • Print and electronic copy of presentations and labs.

  • Electronic copy of lab files.

Material borrowed

  • 2GB MicroSD card (borrowed during the course)

  • Seriale Cable TTL-USB (borrowed during the course)

  • Ethernet Cable (borrowed during the course)

Food

Coffee breaks and lunch included.

1500,00 euro per person (training prices are exempt from VAT)

Payment

Payment must be regulated no later than 23/03/2018 by wire transfer in advance.
